At Lease 1 Financial, we stand by our motto: “Helping Your Business Thrive”. We love to network and find more resources and ways to accomplish that goal. We’d like to highlight an organization that we are particularly pleased about. For “budding” Canadian entrepreneurs, Futurpreneur Canada has MUCH to offer!
Futurpreneur Canada is a national, non-profit organization that has been providing financing, mentoring and support tools to aspiring business owners aged 18 to 39 across the country for nearly 20 years. Futurpreneur Canada has helped more than 6,900 entrepreneurs across Canada, and there are now more than 5,750 Futurpreneur Canada supported start-ups.
“Futurpreneur Canada delivers programs across Canada through a national network of nearly 250 community partners, and more than 2,800 volunteer mentors,” says Alberta regional director Rob Price. “We help young entrepreneurs turn their ideas into reality through our pre-launch coaching, and several online resources, including an interactive Business Plan Writer.”
These free online resources include tools, articles, and an interactive Business Plan Writer, that helps entrepreneurs who don’t have a business plan, create a viable one. On top of the online resources, financing and mentoring are key components to what Futurpreneur Canada offers entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs receive up to $45,000 from Futurpreneur Canada and partner, the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), plus are paired with a business mentor for up to two years.
